feeling a bit lost without my boy

feeling totally lost without my little man today......
i thought it would get easier, last week i was fine this week i'm missing him
it's only been 2 hours, i think because i know he is there for longer today..........
does it get easier?????

he's been with me at home for almost 3 years, he's my little dude he is delightful, he warms my heart and brings a smile to my face, it totally takes you by surprise how these little people make you feel.......i do love his cheekyness too, bit cheeky like his mumma hehehe

a big week in the martin household

this is another big year for change.........change is good [hard sometimes, but good]
we have had a few first's in our home this week, i made my first loaf of bread......and it was delish [i'm eating a slice now as i type with my cup of coffee, one of the changes this year was to invest in a bread maker.....we are saving money as it's cheaper than buying bread, and doesn't contain preservatives and anything artifical, and did i mention it tastes GOOD [even the crust] it's fun to make and the house smells wonderful while cooking

zeke started childcare this week, so mummy's emotion's have been all over the show, i was so surprised he did really well [and has been eating whatever they have been putting in front of him] so next week i'll be leaving him for longer, my boy is growing up fast [almost time for another me thinks]

and some other exciting news, we became business owners this week, check it out here...........hub [greg] has been working here for about 4-5 years and the opportunity came up to buy it with a few other employers......as the saying goes [when opportunity knocks] sometimes i think you have to listen for it or it may pass you by.......

also i've made a few changes to my blogging page, and sooooooooo need help with my banner [am not too savyy] if anyone can give me some tips i'd love it eg: what program to use
also what do you think of the music in the background [is it annoying or do you like it???????]

it's been a crazy week, i've been txting, emailing friends in QLD hoping they are all ok.........i'm so fond of this beautiful country and call it home, and to see this happening in the country you live is just heart breaking.......out of all this devastation it has been amazing seeing people rally together in a united front and helping wherever they can......in the midst of turmoil there is hope......much love to all

HELLO EVERYONE.....my first post in 2011

wow three weeks goes so so quickly....

i hope you all had a wonderful christmas and happy new year to you all, 2011 is going to be a good one i just know it....

we had a great christmas with family and it was so good seeing my nana and grandad and zeke finally getting to meet them and some other family members too...

i do need to remember that going back to nz is never really a holiday as it's crazy crazy with visiting people and moving from one place to the next, however it was fun

i missed melbourne and am happy to be home, i've come back feeling inspiried and looking forward to the year ahead, also looking froward to making a few changes {read more, more wellbeing in my life, and sometimes just to be}

NZ here i come!!!!!!

i just wanted to say goodbye and have a wonderful christmas, filled with love, laughter and sunshine, i'll be away for a whole 3 weeks......

3 weeks holiday with my two boys fun fun fun i'll be loving the beach and the ocean.......can't wait to see my family and friends, i get to meet my brother's twins boy {needyn} and girl {kea} about two weeks old......loads of snuggles for me

so if you get time pop your feet up and chillax........with a little bit of mischef to be had in between times

i'll be thinking of you all and missing you i'm sure.......

i'll pop in from time to time and visit {if i can}...........

point + shoot : coolest house & happy birthday mum

check out this magical house, a very dear and talented friend made this for us for christmas........you almost don't want to eat it or touch it, doesn't it just look perfect......brought back so many childhood feelings, {your imagination running wild} of course this didn't stop a little person {who kept pointing at it the whole way home} i kept saying "let mummy take some photos first" then once it was unwrapped he was in there, check out the photos below

madeit find : + beautiful butterflies

my madeit find this week from splendiferous is this adorable hairslide, i love flowers {check} i love feathers {check} i love butterflies {check} and it can be worn in your hair {check} the perfect colour for summer, can you imagine your hair flowing loosely around your face with this pinned in at the beach or off for summer drinks at a bbq.....how fun, i'm sure every girl would want one......

i just love christmas

i just love christmas and all that it holds.......this year i've gone plain with a splash of green.......

and our little tradition for zeke is every year he gets an ornament that hangs on the tree and when he leaves home, he'll have is own collection.....however not sure at 18 or so if he'd like that, but its a cute tradition for now....his first one above is a nz tiki, then an orange ball

and this year a star.........so many posts at the moment about christmas and i love reading everyones little traditions.....as you can see this year we have white twigs {this is the 3rd time we have used this option} because we are going back to nz in a few days, it's a little bit silly buying a tree etc if were not gonna be here.....

i just wondered who else has a real tree???? i was over at melli's design and noticed a real tree but most others don't.........we always get a real tree too {poor greg with hayfever} i'd love to know your preference and why!!!!!!! i have hummed and harred about getting a fake one {because of the hayfever}

point + shoot : cherry picking

wow what a weekend, we had an amazing group of people come to visit us in mornington for a day of fun, sun, bbq, cherry picking and hanging together..........
i'd never been cherry picking before and loved it we went to red hill cherry farm where you go and pick your own and eat all the cherry's you want while picking.......

it was loads of fun and would recommend it to anyone who wanted to do it.....red hill farm in particular is only open for 6 weeks.......
then on sunday we went to check out mornington markets and i finally got to try the salt and pepper calamari, my very dear friend has mentioned it often and it's quite well known {it was devine}........ i got to meet a new stall holder and support her by buying a few goodies, love meeting the newbies....

i am totally and utterly goo goo ga ga over my madeit find this week.........as soon as i saw this image i couldn't look away {do you ever get that?????} it just screams BEAUTIFUL, i love the dress, the colour, the model and the photography.....

this beautiful cloud dress -in green silk you can find at urban art wear by caldi on madeit, it has a twisted hemline {very cool} and the pleats drape beautifully around the body....what more can i say ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL 

i felt so inspried by this picture i found some other pictures with a green colour theme that made me feel something....

offically married 10 years today!!!!!!

it's gone so fast, we got married bare foot on the beach {mt. maunganui} in new zealand photo below,

yup i LOVE the beach.....it was on the beach or in the snow,  and we walked down the aisle {beach} to "all my life" by kc & jojo....i always said i wanted that song.......
where did you get married???? and what was your song??????
