zeke's 5th birthday!!!!!!!

five years old......
he is our big boy, it still seems crazy how fast they grow, after his peter pan party here, this year
he wanted his party to be red, yellow and silver and for anyone who doesn't know
zeke LOVES cars!!!!!!
just like his dadda, we made cupcakes together the afternoon before {a highlight for me}
we had the usual fun games

. egg and spoon race {but with golf balls}

it was the first party where we did drop off the kids and pick up after
and i have to say it was a whole lot more relaxing and I'm hoping the kids had fun hehehe

april is almost over eeekkkkkkk

honestly where has this month gone?????
this year is zoooming by at top speed, and leaving me a bit behind i have to admit, it has been
an eventful month though,
# my last red hill market till the end of the year
# my little zeke turned 5 {yesterday actually} he brings soooooo much joy to my world i just love him oodles      
# my cousin came to melbourne for a visit to see if she like's it and she's moving over in a few weeks
# one thing I've loved doing this month is culling things at home, feels so good getting rid
   of things you don't need, don't use etc, and I've started in on my studio.......
# catching up with friends which always ticks my boxes

who loves birthdays???? and why

well i am the big 36 years old on the 25th feb, and wow time sure goes by sooooo fast
i love birthdays and all that their about, and yes often im known to have a long
2-3 weeks of celebrations {how bout you????}

its funny we make a big deal about our children, nieces and nephews about how its a celebration and
we do the big count wow your  4 now etc........

to be honest that still hasn't changed for me, yes its not the same as when i was a child, i get excited but that giddy cant sleep isnt there like it used to, but i still see it as an amazing celebration and am
constantly thankful and reflect on the year past and i love being around loads of people and {ok i'll admit it} it is kinda nice when people make a fuss about little old ME!!!!!!!!

a big thankyou to everyone who made it wonderful with all the messages, txt, phone calls and the
lovely cards and gifts, you all made me feel so so valued

i had some lovely girls in my world org a day out i got my nails done, pedicure, lovely lunch at the portsea hotel, wonderful chats and got driven around the peninsula, followed by dinner at the epicurean, it was delish and if you haven't been you need to go thanks guys xx

then my brother and sis in law kate with the kids arrived from nz to live, so we org a welcome to australia lunch + birthday for tompo {friend} and myself so of course it was packed with loads of kiwis and some lovely friends, low key and ended up at the beach {perfect}

and on my actual birthday my lovely boys took me shopping and mumma now owns something from tiffanys fun fun, the service was amazing.........

zeke's PETER PAN party

wow wee what a weekend, zeke turned 4 on the 23rd april but we celebrated by having a peter pan party on saturday.......after all the rain we had last week the sun was out to play for us {mumma was very happy about this} so we had the marquee up, a jumpy castle {thanks fi} and little areas for the kids to play......
thanks to vik, bek, elissa, fi + mel you girls were fabulous

thanks to everyone for zekes treats, phone calls, skype calls and just making him feel loved on....
he had such a fun day and to end the day was a walk to the beach with some cuzzies with pizza + chips he obviously had a wonderful day he crashed early

finally moved...back online + some birthday love

wow what a crazy few weeks its been here, moving {at short notice} but so glad we got the house, we love old school with a bit of character, we've built and done the brand new house see here.....

but if i have my choice i love art deco/60's-70's mixed with modern......

what sold me with this house was the built in booth seats and table {love love}

i'll take you on a little tour of the house over the next few weeks, thought i'd sneek a little photo of the table we did above for the weekend + the new dinning room..........

i've so missed being apart of blogland and am very happy to have internet again.....wa hoo

back to doing my madeit finds + some random shots + some T4's and keeping you updated on twiceBAKED @ the vintage shed + ledamae @ the markets, which reminds me ledamae will be at the red hill markets this saturday pop along and say hi....

and it was my birthday on the weekend the big 35 bring on 40 i say hehehe

i feel like i have so many exciting things happening this year and looking forward to the journey

fun birthday date day

it was hubbs {greg} birthday yesterday so we had a date day, it was zeke's daycare day so we
headed off to chadstone {fashion capital hehehe} we went on a hunt for some skate shoes for the mr.
and ended up with two pairs {he was pretty happy}.....
we went and had coffee {funny how even sitting down for coffee without a little person there is quite relaxing}
we went to the movies and watched REAL STEEL and i really enjoyed it, i'm a cry baby when it comes to movies and had a few tears hehehe.....
we were a little bit naughty and snuck in some sushi and dumplings, yumm yumm, i know its naughty but a little bit fun too.....have you snuck anything in before???????
then home for a family dvd RIO and mummy made mr's favourite 'banana cream pie' his grandma's receipe it was delish.....
we do have a little tradition we always take the day off on our birthdays, do you have any birthday traditions?????

point + shoot : weekend fun for my birthday

i had a wonderful weekend, it was my birthday on friday my boys made me a carrot cake {my favourite} with thick cream cheese icing yum yum, we relaxed together for the day then it was off for a girls night at vik's apartment, wine, nibbles, movie and painting our nails with great conversation...

then sat we had eyelash extentions so my eyelashes are a little fuller FUN, with a spot of shopping at harbourtown then brunch with the girls, in the arvo it was nanna nap time {i love nanna naps} then the boys came home and we went out for takeout at the park where zeke loved playing with uncle wayne.....

then sunday i did the flemington markets in the rain, yay for husbands that help set up in the rain hehehe all in all it was a very busy weekend but filled with wonderful friends and great memories
