zeke's first trip to the snow........

how was your weekend????
what did you get up too?????
we went on a road trip with the popps {popplewell family} to lake mountain, we had so much fun
zeke hasn't been to the snow yet so we snuck a quick trip in...........there wasn't much snow
but for the kids FUN!!!!! and for me {sssshhhhhhhhh hehe}
we went tobogganing, went for a walk to find some real snow {not man made} the walk was
so much fun / kids were going on an adventure whoop whoop, we made a snow man and
threw snow balls at each other, mark popps whipped up some hot moroccon soup in the car
park..........funnest day in a long time
driving through all the beautiful trees and all the green ferns, was seriously like we were
driving through nz, so green and lush.....
then we came to marysville, it was emotional and yup i had a few tears, the trees went from lush to
all burnt from the devastating fires, seeing new houses built......
we saw it on tv it was in the news etc but seeing it with your own eyes, my heart ached for
the families / community involved in the devastation....

road trip to pick up gregs dream car....

what a weekend........
i had the red hill markets on saturday which was so good getting back into the swing of
things, i hadn't done a craft market in a few months, off to flemington in a few weeks also...
then 5.30am {on fathers day} greg, zekky and myself headed off on a road trip
to mt. gambier to pick up gregs dream car.......
he has wanted this car {oh for about 18 years} it is so much his dream car its the colour he's wanted
and everything about it is down to the 'T', he is one shuffed lad........
we had the best trip and i forgot how much i miss road trips, we used to do them a lot in nz
we arrived in mt. gambier in good time and the couple we bought the car off were so lovely and
friendly, i think hubbs might have another car buddy

then it was off to warrnambool to the camping ground for the night SO MUCH FUN......
we caught up with friends who have recently moved there and their two adorable little girls
zeke loved it......we did so much in such a small amount of time and yet
we had such a relaxing time away

he keep saying, "go back, please go back"

we had to assure him we were going camping very soon, so looks like a little

weekend away very soon in the tent it is......i do love that he loves camping

2012 chaplaincy dinner @ the hyatt

very blurry but was the best of the lot and i really wanted to put it up..........

wow what a night a group of us were invited by the lovely brooks to come to this event at the hyatt

last night, it was about chaplaincy in schools access ministries.......

as i spent time listening to what it was about and the help they do give, it got me thinking about

when i was at school....

i don't remember having anyone at school to talk to {other than your friends and half the time i think we lead each other astray} and wondered if some of the decisions i had made would of been any different having a {go to person through school to talk to}....

what did you have at your schools??????

and did you find it useful?????

it makes me think about it more too having a little person who will be off to school in the

near future, and knowing that he's not always going to come to us for advice so who will be the person/people he talks to?????  

they will impact him massively

was such a great night, apollo astronaut charlie duke spoke {made my eyes go shiny} just listening to his story too cool.........

the food was soooooooo yummy and the company was even better, 

thanks to muz for driving us all in from the peninsula

and loved the discussions on our little journey too......

wow what a camping trip.....

we had the best time away and needed it, we totally relaxed and just did all the fun stuff

. we swam in the pool for hours on end
. walked and snoozed on the beach {mummy snoozed}
. went for bike rides
. jumped on the jumping pillow
. had the yummest meals
. had a movie night for the kids
. went on the flying fox {adults included}
. visited the warrnambool cheese factory {devine my fav herb + spice}
. flicked through magazines
. kids had hot chocolates every night
. had amazing discussions
. of course did the opp shops
. day trip to port fairy {very cute little town}
. trash 'n' treasure market early sun morning

i've come back feeling refreshed and ready to take on whatever comes my way......
it's amazing what some down time can do to your mind body and soul.....
