diy hutch
well we've been a little busy of late doing a few things up......
what do you do when you need more storage in your office/studio??????
go brand new and spend lots of $$$$$ or scroll around ebay????
i say ebay so i went looking on ebay and came across an old hutch most of them were going for about $80-$90
while opp shopping thee other week i found this one at vinnies for $40.00 so bought it and into the car it went......
me being me i'm just a little bit impatient i sanded a little of it and thought {NA} it will be ok so went ahead and primed it, that evening hubbs came out to help me do the next coat of primer and he scratch the paint to see how well it stuck, what happened?????
that's right it scapped off, so we had to sand it back {i did a little bit, my wonderful hubbs did most}
so we finally got it sanded then primed and hubbs did the final paint last night
it looks so much better and yay for some storage space, i've covered the inside of the doors with a pink and white snake skin wrapping paper i got for $1.00, i will get around to painting the shelves pink
and i covered inside the draw as well
and i figure one day in a bigger house who knows might end up in the kitchen or the garage for
gregs tools hehehehe, sleep tight everyone and have a fab friday lisa xx

diy buffet
i have been searching for a buffet to use as a tv unit for quite sometime, and all the ones i loved and watched would all go for about $580 or higher, my budget was $200 i thought if i was going to spend around $600 then i may as well go brand new.........just over a week ago i found this buy now for $150 it didn't look solid timber and for that price no it was only veneer but it was the shape i wanted and i loved the mustard glass {of course} so we thought lets paint it, it took us 4 days all up maybe 2hrs.......this isn't a good photo i took it from my ebay account {forgot to take some before shots}
so we painted it black {shock i know as i love everything white, but when you have big black speakers that are a wee bit of an isore but they are hubbs the options are go black} and i love it, the shelves we wrapped in left over wallpaper
the two end drawers are covered in wallpaper also but the middle one i thought i'd do it a little different and used some left over flocked paper
to this..............the finished result I LOVE IT and all up it cost me $200 including paint, and with loads of storage for remotes {don't like them lying around} dvd's, cd's.........what do you think?????

i have a dining table
look what i got just last night my very own dining table.....wow i have never owned my own dining table, we have been using a tressle table from bunnings for the past 7 years and before that, we were using my parents while they were overseas.....
i was on ebay the other night looking for old vintage bikes and thought i'd have a scroll through the dining table, i saw this and it was perfect, i won it from a very lovely lady for $65.00......we are going to strip it and paint
it white, even though i don't mind it this colour {which surprises me} i do love the legs on it.....
my only dilemma is that my louie ghost's don't quite fit underneath, thank goodness i have a handy man who is gonna fix this problem.....
anyway i wanted to share my exciting new purchase, makes me feel like a grown up hehehe......what do you think???? and any advise on a good paint, i have primer already?????
