how true is that, i often think we over complicate life, and it doesn't need to be....{i'm a fine one to do that} so when i heard this comment it jumped out to me.....
so while were busy making plans remember to stop and enjoy life too!!!!! have a great weekend

jen - makes you stop and think.....i often have sayings around my house at the moment on my little black board i have "eyes open wide" been totally challenged this year about not cluttering my life with lets say CRAP and i don't want to miss opportunities that come my way and have my eyes open wide lisa xx
ReplyDeleteIt's a good saying. I have to admit I love making plans, it's part of the fun of the experience for me, the whole buildup to whatever I'm planning, more so than the actual experience I've planned sometimes :)

ReplyDeleteI have been trying to 'live in the moment' and 'concentrate on the now' lately. it's hard to calm your mind (I'm always thinking and planning) but I think it's good to practice. Thanks for this new quote I can try and practice :)

Never a better reminder to stop and smell the roses. This saying resonates with me too.
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I love about having little kids is they force you to do this. Walking is slower, and they do this all the time. My kids always pick me flowers, and if there is a low hanging branch call it a tunnel, or secret garden. Life is always 'now' and an adventure.

ReplyDeleteI try to make life what happens while working towards my plans, though...enjoy the journey, not just the destination.
PS - that said, I do find I'm someone who does do better with a holiday to look forward to, so if the 'now' is so-so, I think of that beach or wherever.
